BT Washington Elementary School – Multi-Purpose Room

Studio D Architects has completed several renovations and additions at this facility.  We began by master planning a phased approach, which would allow for multiple projects to be constructed as separately funded projects.  This project included the addition of a multi-purpose room to serve the school as a cafeteria, auditorium, and gymnasium.  Also included in the addition were support spaces consisting of restrooms, a PE office with storage, a commons area designed for art display, a dishwashing space adjacent to the existing kitchen, and a lobby space.  The existing cafeteria was renovated into a new library/media space and included a presentation space on the existing stage, computer look-up stations, several reading areas, librarian support spaces, and several storage areas.
